OTT/CTV Integration Options

As a publisher, you have a variety of options when it comes to integrating with Smaato.

VAST Tag

Want to integrate with Smaato directly? Request your ad pods from Smaato via a VAST tag URL, which you can simply provide to your VAST-supported video player. For getting your VAST tag for your integration, please reach out to your Smaato client partner manager and/or sales engineer.

VMAP Tag

Want to integrate with Smaato directly, and schedule mid-rolls and/or a post-roll on your video content? Request your ad breaks from Smaato via a VMAP tag URL that you can simply provide to your VAST-supported video player. For getting your VMAP tag for your integration, please reach out to your Smaato client partner manager and/or sales engineer, or visit our VMAP tag generator (you must be signed into SPX while using it): https://ssai.smaato.net/swagger-ui/#/VMAP/getManifest_2

SSAI Tag

Want to integrate with Smaato directly, schedule mid-rolls and/or a post-roll on your video content, and have ads smoothly stitched into your content? Request your ad breaks from Smaato via a SSAI tag URL that you can simply provide to your HLS-supported video player. OpenRTB – Direct Connection

Want to integrate with Smaato directly, and via OpenRTB instead of API? Request your ad pods from Smaato via OpenRTB bid requests. Please reach out to your Smaato client partner manager and/or sales engineer to request an OpenRTB integration, as this must be custom-built for you.

OpenRTB – Exchange

Already working with another video advertising platform, but want to still connect to Smaato as a demand source (if supported by your partner)? Request your ad pods from Smaato via OpenRTB bid requests, via your partner exchange. Just get your publisher ID and ad break ID from the Smaato Publisher Platform (SPX), and enter it into the respective fields in your video advertising platform partner’s UI. Please reach out to your Smaato client partner manager and/or sales engineer for additional questions or help with your integration.
